I was born in Riga, Latvia and grew up in Žeimelis Lithuania. I graduated from Kaunas P. Mazylis medical school in 1989, with a nursing degree. In 2002, my family and I moved to San Diego, California. I got my introduction to watercolor in 2008 from instructor Kate Fitzsimons at San Diego Community College. I started showcasing my watercolor paintings during the San Diego County Fair student showcase. In 2013 I became a member of the San Diego Watercolor society and started being featured in their monthly show. Over the past years, I received multiple Juror Commendation and Honorable mention awards from the San Diego Watercolor society. I am now also a member of the Watercolor West, Fallbrook art guild, SWA, AWS NWS, NWWS. I have been featured in watercolor exhibits with the International Watercolor Society all over the world including France, Vietnam, Greece, Italy, Slovenia, Spain, Bulgaria, Japan, Albania, Poland, and Argentina. In 2023 became Watercolor West Signature Member.
