I grew up in Central California with an appreciation of the San Joaquin Valley foothills, the Sierra Nevada Mountains "Range of Light" and the Central Coast, before moving to San Diego over 30 years ago.

I am inspired by the beauty of nature, and the interconnectedness of all life. Themes of personal, community and planetary healing resonate for me as result of my years in healthcare as a Registered Nurse caring for patients and families throughout all life stages.

According to my late mother, Jeri Weitzel, I came home from kindergarten one afternoon; threw down my lunch box in exasperation and cried out, "I must paint!" My passion for art has remained, as I have practiced from then on; including college studies in printmaking, studio painting from oils to acrylics and mixed media on canvas.
