My creative life is focused on painting inspired by my travels, the people I have met and nature. I have also been inspired by the people I have been privileged to teach. It is important to me to acknowledge the beauty of this life and making art is the way I have found most satisfying. The materials I use include oil paints on canvas and panels, watercolors, gouache, pastels and pencils. My art life has included teaching and I have taught several classes here at the Fallbrook School of the Arts including The Illustrated Journal and Botanical Drawing and have taught drawing and painting to adults and children here and in Hawaii. It has been my good fortune to have had wonderful teachers both at the University of California at Santa Cruz where I earned a BA in painting and at UC Berkeley where I earned a BA in Humanities. I made Fallbrook my home three tears ago after having lived on Kaua’i for many years. It is a kind of homecoming since I grew up in Southern California. By re-joining the Guild, I hope to connect with other artists as well as lovers of Art.
