Betty Hall Meredith (Escondido, California)
Photography has filled my life with endless possibilities. So many experiences have inspired me that I find it difficult to concentrate in any one area of work. My curiosity leads me to contemplate how to integrate the art and science of a feeling to a tangible outcome.
The play and pattern of light on a variety of surfaces strikes an inner chord which leads me to try to capture and share that luminosity to the viewer.
Over the course of my journey as a photographer, I have been honored to have directly studied under the master Ansel Adams, and have taken that influence and incorporated my own vision to capture the beauty of nature, as I observe it.
I have exhibited my work at two galleries in Ann Arbor, MI, The Tulsa Photography Collective Gallery (University of Oklahoma), Redwood Terrace in Escondido, CA, and The Detroit Institute of Arts. Other images hang in private collections here in Southern California.
